802.11b/g AP with 108Mbps Atheros
AP-A2420 outdoor family is an 802.11b/g all-in-one device that is designed to operate in the 2.4GHz band. The device with high performance Atheros 11b/g radio allows the longest transmission distance. It is also suitable for WISP backbone applications with its Atheros 108Mbps Super G roaming capability. The AP with solid weather-proof cast aluminum enclosure allows operating under the most extreme environment.
All-In-One Device
AP-A2420 series is an all-in-one device with integrated Power Over Ethernet (PoE), and the special designed water-proof cap for Ethernet RJ-45 connector to access long distance of network without extra power adapter and extra booster to enlarge the output power. The built-in N-Female connector allows for 2.4GHz outdoor antenna on your request. A complete package with a DC injector unit, water-proof cap, 48 V DC Power adapter, and standard pole / wall mount kit are included.
Multiple Operation Modes
The AP-A2420 family complies with 802.11b and 802.11g standard. Through the Web management interface, you can run in AP, Wireless Client, Repeater and Wireless Bridge (WDS). A multiples security functions include SSID hiding, access Control List, WEP based encryption (64, 128, 152 bits), enhanced Security with 802.1x using a primary and a backup Radius Server with/without dynamic WEP keys, WPA-PSK, and WPA to prevent unauthorized access. Advanced software management allows monitoring current Rx/Tx data rate status, noise level, and signal strength. It also can be easy configuration and monitoring through the use of a Web-browser based Web UI, and SNMP commands from a remote SNMP management station, and Locator utility for users to automatically discover the device.
According to power configurations, AP-A2420-30 is equipped with 1Watt (30dBm).
Point to Point Mode and Point to Multipoint Mode
Through wireless link, WDS Bridges can connect up to 8 networks in scattered buildings or towers. This allows numerous sites to share resources, including wireless broadband ISP provider’s backhaul, wireless broadband campus building to building links, last mile wireless broadband ISP dedicated access to customer.
